Àsà Wa Gobal Communications and Arial Media International was at the event of Alhaja Fatimo Abeni Omotosho Nee Adeyemi and it was a glorious and memorable one.
The 13th of June 2022 was a remarkable day in the life of Alhaja Fatima Abeni Omotosho as her Siblings and children celebrated her 70th birthday in two surprise birthday events.Sunday 17th of July 2022 was great and remarkable as her children celebrated their mother in a stylish surprise birthday party.
It was a great day that made her shed tears of joy. Most of her children, well wishers, family member comment at the red carpet that “She is a selfless and dutiful woman, she can go out of her way to make people happy and comfortable at the expense of her own comfort, some even said she is so kind-hearted that she would give up her own plans to help others succeed.

One of the grandchildren, cheered the event up with a sweetly read biography of the celebrant, as he reads: “I am Alli Boluwatife Akinyele and I am here to tell you a little about my grandma’s life My grandma Alhaja Fatima Abeni is a second child of late Alhaji Lasisi and the first born of late Alhaja Atikat Adeyemi. She was born on the 13th of June 1952 in the ancient city of Ibadan in Oyo state. She is blessed with a big first family of brothers and sisters who are here as well today. She lived part of her early childhood in Sierra- Leone with her grandma who was a merchant and there, she had started her primary education. She later returned to Nigeria at the age of 8 to conclude her primary school at Lishabi primary school. Growing up, my grandmother’s parents moved a lot from one state to another across Nigeria because of work. So in order to give her a stable education, grandma was handed over to Mrs Popoola, Who was then the principal of the prestigious Lishabi grammar school in Abeokuta and who served as her guardian throughout school. She attended the Lishabi grammar school also in Abeokuta. She however usually goes to ìyá eléran her paternal grandma to spend most of her school holidays.
She particularly enjoyed literature and drama. She still does love a good play and enjoys reading. Even when I feel so lazy to read my literature books my grandma would read them all before I even pick up the first one. From fond tales of that time of her life told to us by her, she took part in many stage plays in school, and had the honour to play the role of Lady Macbeth in a Shakespeare play.

After her education she moved to Zaria in Kaduna state where she met her heart throb and life partner Alhaji Salman Omotosho at John Holt, J. Allen and later had to resign because of company policies
She got married to her late husband, my grandpa, Alhaji Salman Omotosho on 13 February 1975 and has been blessed with children and many grandchildren, all of us are here today by Allah’s mercy. Grandma worked in various roles in John Holt, J. Allen and Cadbury Nigeria LTD while in Kaduna state. She later moved to Lagos in 1980.
In Lagos she got a job in first bank of Nigeria Ltd. Where she worked for 18 years and rose to the post of a supervisor, bagging two long service award plagues and later retired in 1999. After her retirement from the bank, she picked up a vocation by helping out at the hajj camp to register and educate intending hajj pilgrims. This, she did for two years. There after she embarked on little businesses to keep herself busy and going.
Grandma has had her fair share of life struggles and still does by the way, yet she has so much more to be thankful for. Perhaps the most notable of her achievements that I’d like to share with us is her continuous selfless service to her children, family, and her community.

I cannot here talk of every single one of great examples of these as they are numerous but in the hearts of many of us here today, we know when and how she has positively impacted our lives through her very nature of being dutiful, selfless, humble, and trustworthy. The people in her community, her friends, and members of her family will all attest to this.
To this great woman here, I say thank you for giving me my mum, my aunties and my uncles who have been a great part of my blessed stable and happy life
I humbly present to you, my grandma,Alhaja Fatimah Abeni Omotosho.”

As soon as he had finished reading the biography, everyone in the hall were on their feet in a standing ovation and a toast to the celebrant.Without a doubt, the celebrant has impacted so many lives. She is selfless as described!
