With the number of youth making up more than half of Nigeria’s population, it is increasingly important to provide them with digital literacy skills that they need to be competitive in today’s world. The Federal Government of Nigeria recognizes this skill gap and aims for 95% digital literacy by 2021.

To achieve this goal Ai Multimedia has been selected as one of the training partners in the LSETF-USADF Employability project. Based in Lagos, AI Multimedia Academy is a vocational training center dedicated to training passionate individuals in digital skills and specializes in the media and creative sector.

About the LSETF-USADF Employability Project
The LSETF-USADF Employability project seeks to curb the issue of unemployment in Lagos state by equipping 3000 eligible young people (Trainees) per year with relevant skills that cut across sectors including but not limited to Construction, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Beauty, Hospitality, Entertainment, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Technology and Creative.

The program presents a good opportunity for the unemployed youth in Lagos State to empower themselves, start a career in their chosen field, and drastically improve their prospects of securing jobs. The program also aims to place successful trainees in jobs after the training has been completed.

The project is funded by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) and the United State Africa Foundation (USADF), with Diamond Development Initiative (DDI) as its implementing partner while the training is administered through a large network of competent and certified Vocational Training Centres across Lagos state.

The free training is opened to anyone from 18 to 35 years of age, must reside in Lagos, must have LASRRA (Lagos State Residents Registration Agency), an identification number and must have a minimum of JSSCE qualification.

Skill areas offered by Ai Multimedia:
Ai Multimedia Academy will be offering the following courses: Graphic Design, Cinematography, Video Editing, Motion Graphics/2D Animations, 3D Animations and Photography. Interested participants should visit the LSETF website for registration (www.lsesp.ng) or WhatsApp: Ademola on 08023692405 for more enquires.
